A Single Voice Above the Noise

There is a single voice above the noise. When the world is whirling about and the constant banter of mundane sounds pound out their lyrics in our heads, is there a single voice above the noise? You can stand near the oceans' pounding surf or the crash of immense falls and still hear it. Yet, all the while, it is soft, gentle and calm. Do you hear it? Sshh, be still, do you hear it now? Yes, He is calling. He is the Single Voice Above the Noise.

What a sweet, tender post. People are seeing the real Brian - the guy who enjoys variety. I love this post. This would be a great sermon. The still, quiet moments are my favorite.

But, of course, I KNOW you aren't always controversial. You do keep us guessing as to what's next. :) XO

Great reminder that if we will but take the time to listen, we can hear His voice anywhere.

Helen- Thank you for stopping by and just being who you are! I like that. Thanks!

Sis. Hopper--Truly His voice is everywhere if we will simply listen!

Great post! Nothing like those sweet tender moments amidst all the noise when you hear His sweet still voice and it brings such a calm to your soul.

By the way, I am glad you are back to blogging. Now I get the best of both worlds. I get to hear you preach at church, which I think you are the greatest!!! and now I get to read you preach!!! Plus I get to enjoy all the other little blessing you share with us as well. See, I told you I get the best of both worlds. :D

"Softly and tenderly Jesus is calling,
Calling for you and for me,
See on the portals He's waiting and watching,
Watching for you and for me.

Come home, come home,
Ye who are weary come,
Earnestly tenderly, Jesus is calling,
Calling, O sinner, come home."

Ce cantique m'est revenue immediatement lorsque j'ai lu votre billet.

Von de Leigh--you write the song; Jana will sing it when I preach the sermon.

Jolene--you are too nice. Thank you for loving Sis. Allard and me.

Catherine--Je n'ai jamais pensé à cette chanson quand j'ai écrit ces lignes mais tu as exactement raison. Cette chanson parle clairement de ces mots.
